John grew up in Long Island, N.Y. After serving oversees in the US Army, he became
a journeyman cabinetmaker working on sailboats in Clearwater, FL. In 1981, he moved
to Colorado Springs with his young family.
By 1985, John wanted a new challenge. After attending a real estate investment seminar,
he became fascinated with the income potential of real estate investments. John
enrolled in real estate school with the objective of learning as much as possible
about investing. He became a sales agent for a local real estate company. Shortly
after entering the business, he got an opportunity to become a realtor/property
manager when the company opened a new office in the Broadmoor area. After 6 years,
he had become a top agent and property manager within the company. Once again, John
wanted another challenge.
In 1991, he learned that RE/MAX, a national real estate company based out of Denver,
didn’t have a property management department in Colorado Springs. He joined RE/MAX
and developed a sales and property management department. Thirteen years later,
after managing hundreds of rental properties and selling millions of dollars worth
of real estate, John decided to open his own company.
He purchased an office building at the intersection of North Academy and North Union
and opened Clemente Real Estate Services in April, 2004. Along the way, John was
actively investing in single family homes in Colorado Springs. He also has several
investments in resort areas. He brings a unique perspective to the real estate business
having personal expertise in sales, property management and in his passion, real
